I use this blog to reflect and distill my thinking about simulations and games for learning. I look for ready to use resources to quickly create active learning experiences that engage and inform. I also share, news, ideas, and just for fun.

Beer Game Simulation in Action

I have written about the Beer Distribution Game developed at MIT a number of times. The game gives a simple demonstration of the dynamics of a supply chain and for that matter the entire economy.  Having played the game and designing a variation that simplifies both play and facilitation  I have to say that the game informs my view of the world.

Just reading the description about it may not be enough to give you a good sense of the experience. Here is a short video that shows the simulation in action.
